Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of Charles-Ferdinand D'Artois, Duc De Berry (1778-1820), Circa 1785 by Joseph Boze. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,372.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Boze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Jean-Conrad Hottinguer (1764-1841) in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 46,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Charles-Ferdinand D'Artois, Duc De Berry (1778-1820), Circa 1785 von Joseph Boze zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.372,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Boze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Jean-Conrad Hottinguer (1764-1841) im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 46.350,00.
