The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,410.00 (€ 1,477.21), 57% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Joseph Korbel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Andante' (Dancing Girls) in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,615.43).

Die Arbeit Two Figures of Seated Girls von Mario Joseph Korbel wurde im Juni 2000 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.410,00 (€ 1.477,21) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Joseph Korbel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Andante' (Dancing Girls) im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 48.615,43).
