Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures and a Donkey by Josef Herman was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 1,968.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Herman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Irish Scene in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,614.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures and a Donkey von Josef Herman wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 1.968,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Herman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Irish Scene im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.614,79).
