Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils,, which included the work Fishing vessels off Capri by Josef Karl Berthold Püttner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,262.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Karl Berthold Püttner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Amercian port view said to be San Franciso harbor in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 24,930.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing vessels off Capri von Josef Karl Berthold Püttner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.262,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Karl Berthold Püttner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Amercian port view said to be San Franciso harbor im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 24.930,93).
