Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Activities on the waterside by Josef Karl Berthold Püttner for EUR 540.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Karl Berthold Püttner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Amercian port view said to be San Franciso harbor in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 24,930.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Activities on the waterside von Josef Karl Berthold Püttner für EUR 540,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Karl Berthold Püttner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Amercian port view said to be San Franciso harbor im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 24.930,93).
