Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pescadored del Cantábrico by José Gutiérrez Solana was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,535.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Gutiérrez Solana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Ermitaños in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 360,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pescadored del Cantábrico von José Gutiérrez Solana wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.535,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Gutiérrez Solana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Ermitaños im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 360.250,00.
