A top price for José Gutiérrez Solana - as previously expected
The work Los Ermitaños by José Gutiérrez Solana was sold in the The Spanish Sale, The Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid auction at Christies in Madrid in October 2007. The price achieved of EUR 360,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Los Ermitaños is the most expensive artwork by José Gutiérrez Solana that we have observed at auctions so far.
