Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with blue flowers by Jos Rovers was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. The price achieved of NLG 936.16 (€ 411.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jos Rovers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salomé in July 2003 with an auction result of EUR 6,572.50.

Die Arbeit Still life with blue flowers von Jos Rovers wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 936,16 (€ 411,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jos Rovers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Salomé im Juli 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.572,50.
