This artwork by Jorge Eielson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2016. In the Latin America auction, the work Amazonía sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 49,631.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jorge Eielson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Quipus 32 D-7 sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jorge Eielson erzielte im November 2016 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin America wurde die Arbeit Amazonía für USD 52.500,00 (€ 49.631,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jorge Eielson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Quipus 32 D-7 im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 74.978,58).
