This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 750,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonas Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Tables With Floral Pattern, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 6,510,000.00 (€ 5,338,691.16).
