Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Age Demanded, Wavy Marble by Jon Rafman was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,829.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jon Rafman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New Age Demanded (Swerveman Silver) in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,946.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Age Demanded, Wavy Marble von Jon Rafman kam im Februar 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.829,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jon Rafman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New Age Demanded (Swerveman Silver) im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.946,69).
