Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Seated Woman by Jon Molvig was sold in the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,292.50 (€ 750.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jon Molvig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian gravedigger No. Ii in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 20,400.00 (€ 11,908.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seated Woman von Jon Molvig wurde im August 2001 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.292,50 (€ 750,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jon Molvig erzielen.
