Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Immaculate Lullaby by Jon Jaylo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,916.79), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jon Jaylo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bright Days Are Upon Us in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 49,776.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Immaculate Lullaby von Jon Jaylo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.916,79) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jon Jaylo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bright Days Are Upon Us im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 49.776,20).
