A top price for John Wells
In November 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Structure In Oval by John Wells. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 68,062.39). With this result, Structure In Oval is even the most expensive work of art by John Wells that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für John Wells
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Structure In Oval von John Wells zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 68.062,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Structure In Oval sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Wells, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
