Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape Elements 60.8 x 129.5 cm. (23 7/8 x 51 in.) by John Wells was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 22,950.00 (€ 26,593.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Wells - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Structure In Oval, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 68,062.39).

Die Arbeit Landscape Elements 60.8 x 129.5 cm. (23 7/8 x 51 in.) von John Wells kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.950,00 (€ 26.593,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Wells mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Structure In Oval beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 68.062,39) versteigert wurde.
