Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Summer flowers and a bird's nest before a terrace by John Wainwright. The price achieved of GBP 2,304.00 (€ 2,669.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Wainwright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Lillies, Tulips, Poppies And Other Flowers In A Vase In A Classical Garden in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 44,400.00 (€ 65,803.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer flowers and a bird's nest before a terrace von John Wainwright zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.304,00 (€ 2.669,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Wainwright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, Lillies, Tulips, Poppies And Other Flowers In A Vase In A Classical Garden im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.400,00 (€ 65.803,60).
