Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring blossom and primroses by John Wainwright was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,928.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Wainwright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Lillies, Tulips, Poppies And Other Flowers In A Vase In A Classical Garden in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 44,400.00 (€ 65,803.60).
