In the Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II auction, the work Kansas; and Untitled, c. 1938 changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 481.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Vachon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roadside Diner; and Hub Cap Display, U.S. 1, New Jersey, July 1947, which sold at auction in December 2011 for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,541.66).
