Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Oxygems (5 works) by John Torreano for USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,013.87). This price was achieved in the auction Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Torreano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oxygems (5 works), which sold at auction in December last year for USD 2,295.00 (€ 2,145.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Oxygems (5 works) von John Torreano für USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.013,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Torreano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Oxygems (5 works) beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für USD 2.295,00 (€ 2.145,26) versteigert wurde.
