Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Universe Painting by John Torreano for USD 250.00 (€ 188.41). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Torreano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Oxygems (5 works) in December last year with an auction result of USD 2,295.00 (€ 2,145.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Universe Painting von John Torreano für USD 250,00 (€ 188,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Torreano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Oxygems (5 works) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.295,00 (€ 2.145,26).
