Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Killing The Majority by John Tenniel was sold in the The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 688.00 (€ 783.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Tenniel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ‘Nuts To Crack’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,310.27).
