In December 2010 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Bukowskis Christmas Auction, Stockholm S195, which included the work Study by John Sten. The result of SEK 8,000.00 (€ 891.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Höstlandskap" (Autumn landscape) in June 2015 with an auction result of SEK 185,000.00 (€ 19,986.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2010 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Bukowskis Christmas Auction, Stockholm S195 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study von John Sten zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 8.000,00 (€ 891,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Höstlandskap" (Autumn landscape) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 185.000,00 (€ 19.986,10).
