Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work "Landscape" by John Sten for SEK 65,000.00 (€ 6,744.37). This price was achieved in the auction Important Spring Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Sten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Höstlandskap" (Autumn landscape), which sold at auction in June 2015 for SEK 185,000.00 (€ 19,986.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Landscape" von John Sten für SEK 65.000,00 (€ 6.744,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Sten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Höstlandskap" (Autumn landscape) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für SEK 185.000,00 (€ 19.986,10) versteigert wurde.
