In June 2012 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction The Spring Classic Sale, Stockholm, which included the work Landscape with woman picking flowers by John Sten. The result of SEK 80,000.00 (€ 9,131.67) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Sten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Höstlandskap" (Autumn landscape), which sold at auction in June 2015 for SEK 185,000.00 (€ 19,986.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2012 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion The Spring Classic Sale, Stockholm durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with woman picking flowers von John Sten zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 80.000,00 (€ 9.131,67) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Sten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Höstlandskap" (Autumn landscape) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für SEK 185.000,00 (€ 19.986,10) versteigert wurde.
