The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Muhammad 'Ali Khan, Nawab Of Arcot And Prince Of The Carnatic (1718-1795) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 120,500.00 (€ 153,620.47).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.724,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Smart erzielen.
