Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Off to Draw: The Warwickshire Hunt by John Sanderson Wells for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,543.15). This price was achieved in the auction Sporting Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sanderson Wells achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Parade, Hyde Park in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 41,210.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Off to Draw: The Warwickshire Hunt von John Sanderson Wells für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.543,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sanderson Wells erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Church Parade, Hyde Park im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 41.210,20).
