In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction Sporting and Wildlife Art, which included the work Going to the meet by John Sanderson Wells. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,476.48), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sanderson Wells achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Parade, Hyde Park in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 41,210.20).

Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting and Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Going to the meet von John Sanderson Wells zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.476,48) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sanderson Wells erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Church Parade, Hyde Park im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 41.210,20).
