In February 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs From The Estate of Thomas T. Solley, which included the work Betty Biehn, c. 1950 by John Rawlings. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,176.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by John Rawlings have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2008 the work Arched Nude, circa 1960 was auctioned for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,310.65).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.176,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von John Rawlings konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2008 die Arbeit Arched Nude, circa 1960 für USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.310,65) versteigert.
