Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Neagle could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work View On The Schuylkill changed hands for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,596.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Neagle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Jacket, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 31,113.88).
