Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Monolith by John Hoskin was sold in the Outside In: The Dr. Jeffrey Sherwin Collection auction at Christies in London in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,908.15). Admittedly, works by John Hoskin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,549.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Monolith von John Hoskin wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Outside In: The Dr. Jeffrey Sherwin Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.908,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Hoskin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.549,05).
