Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Snow by John Henry Twachtman was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. The price achieved of USD 269,000.00 (€ 207,114.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Henry Twachtman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hemlocks, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).
