Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moonlight, the Norfolk Coast by John Henry Dell was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 595.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Henry Dell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Milking time in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,060.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moonlight, the Norfolk Coast von John Henry Dell kam im März 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 595,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Henry Dell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Milking time im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.060,19).
