Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Feeding the chicks by John Henry Dell was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in London in January 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,014.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Henry Dell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Milking time in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,060.19).

Die Arbeit Feeding the chicks von John Henry Dell wurde im Januar 2001 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.014,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
