Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Marya by John Graham for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,582.75). This price was achieved in the auction A Life of Discovery: Works from The Allan Stone Collection | Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Dodecahedron in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,095,452.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Marya von John Graham für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.582,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Life of Discovery: Works from The Allan Stone Collection | Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Graham erzielen.
