This artwork by John Glover achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2012. In the Andrew Wyld: Connoisseur Dealer auction, the work View of Elterwater; View of Ullswater looking down; and View of Ullswater and Helvellyn sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,094.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Glover achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ben Lomond from Mr Talbot's property -- four Men catching Opossums in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,741,875.00 (€ 2,082,142.27).
