Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A farmhouse with outbuildings beside a stream at sunset by John Glover was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,382.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Glover achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ben Lomond from Mr Talbot's property -- four Men catching Opossums in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,741,875.00 (€ 2,082,142.27).
