Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Vale of Neath, South Wales by John Glover was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,076.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Glover achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ben Lomond from Mr Talbot's property -- four Men catching Opossums in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,741,875.00 (€ 2,082,142.27).
