Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Running Brook by John George Brown was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,936.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John George Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Thrilling Moment in January this year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 754,282.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Running Brook von John George Brown kam im November 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.936,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John George Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Thrilling Moment im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 754.282,56).
