Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John George Brown could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Two's Company, but Three is Not! changed hands for USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,867.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John George Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Thrilling Moment in January this year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 754,282.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John George Brown konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Two's Company, but Three is Not! für USD 6.400,00 (€ 5.867,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John George Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Thrilling Moment im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 754.282,56).
