Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Manual Training School, Creighton Street At Cunard, Halifax by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. The price achieved of CAD 16,800.00 (€ 13,128.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tropic of Cancer in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).
