Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Rue Beaudry Vers Lafontaine, D'Autrefois - Montréal by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 15,600.00 (€ 11,966.22). Admittedly, works by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tropic of Cancer in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rue Beaudry Vers Lafontaine, D'Autrefois - Montréal von John Geoffrey Caruthers Little zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 15.600,00 (€ 11.966,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Geoffrey Caruthers Little auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tropic of Cancer im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 74.978,58).
