Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Frederick Kensett - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Entrance to Newport Harbor, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 1,248,000.00 (€ 1,053,876.03).
