Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mount Washington From North Conway by John Frederick Kensett was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 201,811.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Frederick Kensett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Entrance to Newport Harbor in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,248,000.00 (€ 1,053,876.03).

Die Arbeit Mount Washington From North Conway von John Frederick Kensett kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion.
