Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Stables at Meopham by John Frederick Herring Senior was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,750.00 (€ 38,828.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frederick Herring Senior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Start for the Derby, 1834 in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,600.00 (€ 1,632,212.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Stables at Meopham von John Frederick Herring Senior wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.750,00 (€ 38.828,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Frederick Herring Senior erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Start for the Derby, 1834 im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.105.600,00 (€ 1.632.212,62).
