Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three huntsmen in a wooded landscape by John Ferneley, Sen. was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,537.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver firs at Osberton in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,018,324.83).
