Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hunters of Robert Henry, Lord Herbert, later 12th Earl of Pembroke and 9th Earl of Montgomery by John Ferneley, Sen. was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings - Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 84,065.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver firs at Osberton in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,018,324.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hunters of Robert Henry, Lord Herbert, later 12th Earl of Pembroke and 9th Earl of Montgomery von John Ferneley, Sen. wurde im Juli 2011 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings - Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert.
