Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a bay horse by John Ferneley, Jnr. was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,536.00 (€ 1,779.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Full Cry: Captain White hunting with the Quorn, with Hoby Church and Brooksby Hall in the distance in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 35,850.00 (€ 38,387.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.536,00 (€ 1.779,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Ferneley, Jnr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Full Cry: Captain White hunting with the Quorn, with Hoby Church and Brooksby Hall in the distance im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.850,00 (€ 38.387,41).
