Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identified As Thomas B. Hodgson, Master Of The Holderness Hunt On His Horse Comical by John Ferneley, Jnr. for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,164.55). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Full Cry: Captain White hunting with the Quorn, with Hoby Church and Brooksby Hall in the distance in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 35,850.00 (€ 38,387.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identified As Thomas B. Hodgson, Master Of The Holderness Hunt On His Horse Comical von John Ferneley, Jnr. für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.164,55) erwerben.
