Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Sporting And Wildlife Art Including The Collection Of Doug And Ellen Miller, which included the work Horses at a Stream in an Extensive Mountainous Landscape by John Ferneley, Jnr.. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,914.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Ferneley, Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Full Cry: Captain White hunting with the Quorn, with Hoby Church and Brooksby Hall in the distance, which sold at auction in May 2002 for USD 35,850.00 (€ 38,387.41).

Im November 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Sporting And Wildlife Art Including The Collection Of Doug And Ellen Miller durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horses at a Stream in an Extensive Mountainous Landscape von John Ferneley, Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam.
