Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work An Officer of the Dragoon Guards by John Ferneley, Jnr. for USD 8,365.00 (€ 7,205.62). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house.
